MORE Kind Words from a WebsitesForPrinters.com Client!

Earlier today I posted the kind words of a relatively new client. This afternoon we received MORE kind words from another client! This one really moved me. This one really confirmed that what we do is so much more important than simply building websites:

Dave,

I just read your Mission and Vision statement for the first time. I must say that you and your crew have certainly lived up to the statement and have in fact brought Honor and Glory to the Name God. As a Christian business owner I am encouraged to align myself with a company that shares the same values and goals that I do in my company.

I have been grateful that the Lord brought our company’s together and now knowing of your commitment to Him I see once again how He is always looking out for us. We serve an awesome Master in Christ our Lord and Savior.

That makes it all so worthwhile!

Kind Words from a WebsitesForPrinters.com Client

Usually I am not in a position to grab the phones when they ring, but today I was. John called, he needed some help. It was simple stuff … just stuff he hadn’t run into yet. I always cringe a little bit when I get the tech support calls. I’d rather be working on the big projects that keep WebsitesForPrinters.com on the leading edge. But today was different, I took John’s call requesting help.

John was helped, problem solved. John ended the call by saying, “You know, I really appreciate you guys at WebsitesForPrinters.com. You are always able to help me on the spot. I called my estimating software company for help yesterday, and they said they’d call me the next day. When someone is drowning, you don’t tell them you’ll throw them a life preserver tomorrow!”

Wow. I know our customer service team is passionate about customer service, and John’s comments prove it! We don’t get to help everyone on-the-spot. Sometimes too much help is required. But if we can help on the spot, we will!

Passionate about Customer Service

Here’s a picture showing what happens when you’re passionate about customer service:

Gift from Dan Sumner, Hayes Printing

One of our recent new customers, Dan Sumner, came to us because he needed some help with his most important customer. The customer he needed to accommodate wasn’t just any customer. It was the “big, huge, my business depends on keeping them happy” kind of customer. This customer required custom programming to be able to allow their purchasing system to interact with Dan’s website.

Dan needed a solution. His previous provider, PrinterPresence, wasn’t up to the challenge. WebsitesForPrinters.com was! We are really going over the top to help him out. So far we’ve switched his website over from PrinterPresence to WebsitesForPrinters.com. That change itself has been very well-received by his customers, and is keeping him in good standing. Next up is completing the custom programming, and we’re on schedule to bring that to a rapid completion as well.

So back to the picture that started this story. Dan totally recognized our great customer service! It’s not that we did anything different for him. Our crew treated his requests just like the requests from any of our customers. It’s just that Dan’s requests ran a bit deeper than most and he was just tickled with the way WebsitesForPrinters.com rose to the challenge. The result? A big “Thank You” gift from Dan!

Andy (in the picture) has been working closest with Dan during his transition to WebsitesForPrinters.com, so he gets to babysit the gift basket full of goodies. He’s been getting a lot of visitors in his office lately!

Why Does John Giles Ignore WebsitesForPrinters.com?

I don’t get it. I don’t understand why John Giles seems to completely ignore WebsitesForPrinters.com when he writes his Digital Original article for Quick Printing magazine. His most recent article, titled Automatic PDF Creation Increases Profitability, doesn’t even give a passing reference to WebsitesForPrinters.com and our implementation of Jaws PDF Courier. All the other players are there, even though they aren’t as good and often cost more.

Here’s the excerpt:

There are a number of companies that offer automatic PDF creation programs. Adobe offers Job Ready. It is available through the PrinterPresence website. Global Graphics offers Jaws PDF Creator. Prismatek offers PrintThat. Enfocus sells Instant PDF. PagePath has one of the longest histories with its automatic PDF creation program called PDF2U. The system is available through PagePath’s MyOrderDesk system. Most of the programs require a minimum licensing fee and a monthly charge. Some offer unlimited “seats” so a printer can provide the driver to a number of customers. Others charge by the number of times used.

So where is WebsitesForPrinters.com? Here are my observations.

Observation #1: Mr. Giles correctly says, “Adobe offers Job Ready. It is available through the PrinterPresence website.” He then goes on to say, “Global Graphics offers Jaws PDF Creator.” Where’s the rest of that sentence? I feel it should read, “Global Graphics offers Jaws PDF Creator, and Jaws PDF Courier through the WebsitesForPrinters.com website.”

Observation #2: If Mr. Giles were to mention the solution provided by WebsitesForPrinters.com he could also mention the automatic preflighting built into our solution. None of the other vendors provide preflighting. It’s the missing link. Just because a customer is able to easily make a PDF doesn’t mean they’ll make it correctly. The preflighting found in a WebsitesForPrinters.com workflow will fix what it can, and warn the printer’s customers about things it can’t fix (such as low-resolution graphics). None of the other vendors provide integrated preflighting. With Mr. Giles’s technical expertise, you’d think he would make mention of such an obvious productivity and profitability enhancer.

I could go on, but you get the point. So why does Mr. Giles ignore WebsitesForPrinters.com? He knows about us. He made a point to stop by our booth at GraphExpo last year. This isn’t the first time he’s let his eye drift past our product. Hopefully his objectivity will improve in the future.

13 Awesome Screensavers

I confess, I’m a sucker for good screen savers. I take that back … I don’t have much patience for good screen savers … they need to be great screensavers! Here’s a page that has some fun ones:

Although I can’t say that I’m totally enamored by every screensaver on this list, I am very impressed by the fun factor of many of them!
